Akbari and Darbari Jatts
"the Darbari Jats, the descendants of those who gave their daughters to Emperor Jahangir, just as the Akbaris gave daughters to Akbar. Thus, some of the Mann Jats of Tuto Mazara are Darbaris, but they will take brides for their sons from non-Darbaris, provided the dowry (dahej) is ample."

"Among the Jats the only social distinctions are the well known 'Akbari' or Darbari makans--35 in number according to the usual accounts. But in Amritsar the Akbari is only the highest of a series of four grades, the Aurangzebi(those admitted to this rank during the rule of Aurangzahib),Khalsai(or those admitted during Sikh times) and Angrezi(of those admitted since British ruler began) being the other three, and no less than 150 villages, all generally speaking in the Manjha, now claim Darbari status. There is also a Shahjahuani grade, the Sansi Jats,of Raja Sansi, having been admitted in the reign of Shah Jahan. The origin of the Akbari group is thus described. When the emperor Akbar took in marriage the daughter of Mihr Mithan,a Jat,of the Manjha,35 of the principal Jat,and 36 of the leading Rajput families countenanced the marriage and sent representatives to Delhi....The Akbari Jats follow some of the higher castes in not allowing remarriage of widows, and in practising darbara, which is a custom of giving vails at weddings to the mirasis of other Akbari families.Below the Akbari is the Darbari grade, descendants of those who gave their daughters to the emperor Jahangir...." by F.A Rose

DeleteWhat nonsense are you spreading, Mr. Faisal? What concern is this to a Muslim? Anyway, "Akbari" or "Durbari" Jats are never mentioned anywhere, not even in Ain-i-Akbari written by Akbar's court, until the 19th century by British. If this group even exists, where are they now?

DeleteIf these Jats exist, where are they now? They were just written into existence by a British man. Not even Ain-i-Akbari mentions these "Akbari" or "Durbari" Jats, so on what authority was he spewing all this?
ReplyDeleteIt is more likely that, if such a categorization even exists, it refers to those who took service in Mughal and other administration. Hence also the Khalsei and Angrezei categories (i.e. those who served in the Sikh and British Indian armies).
DeleteHaha it is debunked in youtube videos with proofs search debunking akbari and darbari jats ....it was first written in british writer book and same on that page its written that there is no proof of akbari and darbari jats nd 2nd its written in Hoshiarpur gazzete n it has a line that there is no proif its according to us lol youtube video bhi hai debunking akbar darbari jats ...ye jisne likha ye rakelput the mughko ke 147 betia di Shajahan jhangir feroz shah tuqlak ki ma n guhrat sultan ki 3 wife randiput thi james skinner angrez ki wife bhi isliye ye khud chori krke oro ko b chor sabit krna chate randiputr mulka bn gya but jalan nhi hti is bnde ki jisne ye likha n maybe lindu randput hoga with faje name ki expose na ho lol
